Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). S# 269708B. Bbl. 24" rnd., with original sporting sights. Full length mag. Blue finish, with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock, with crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Mfg. in 1888. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to an even brown patina, showing scattered scratches and handling marks. Original wood has added finish. Forearm has a 3" hairline crack extending from the left side of the action. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sound rifling, showing scattered spots of very light pitting. (01-27091/BH).
